Deletion happens immediately, while you wait. The app tells you when it has finished — and tells you if it failed, in which case nothing was removed and you can try again.
Round Trip has no accounts. We never collect your name, email address, or phone number, and there is nothing to sign in to. Your progress is stored against a random identifier that only your device holds, so an emailed request gives us no way to tell which records are yours — while the app itself is already holding the credential that identifies them, and can ask on your behalf.
Everything we hold, on our server and on your device:
| Data | Where |
|---|---|
| Your anonymous player identifier and access token | Server and device |
| Puzzle progress, attempts, solves, streaks and medals | Server and device |
| Records of rewarded ads watched, and hints revealed | Server |
| Unlocked past days and their stored boards | Server and device |
| Tutorial and practice progress | Device |
Nothing is retained after the request completes, and no additional retention period applies to the deleted records.
Only your display and accessibility preferences on the device — dark mode, sound, haptics, reduced motion and similar. These describe how the app should look and feel on your phone, not who you are, and none of it is sent to our server. Uninstalling the app removes them too.
After deletion the game continues to work and a new anonymous identifier is issued, exactly as on a fresh install.
Uninstalling removes the identifier and token from your device, which is the only thing that could have pointed to your records. We cannot look them up afterwards, because there is no name or address attached to them. Those records are deleted automatically once the identifier has gone unused for 24 months.
